Concert Performances and Collaborative Work

Concert Performances

The Bluebirds are available as solo or duo classical performers for concerts and public / private events.

“My personal thanks to you for a splendid performance… the joy of your singing communicates itself and helps to lift the mood of the whole concert.” (Miles Quick, Conductor)

We are regular performers of classical repertoire including oratorio and opera. Both Sasha and Tami are regular session singers and have performed on the soundtracks for feature films including Gangs of New York and Spielberg’s Band of Brothers. They’ve also performed live with the Ravi Shankar Orchestra at the Concert for George at The Royal Albert Hall. Tami has performed as a soloist with The Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra.

Collaborative work

The Bluebirds are available for collaborative work. Sasha’s worked with Exeter based Four of Swords Theatre devising music and a soundscape for their adaptations of the Greek tragedies Oedipus and Medea. She also performed as Jocasta in Oedipus.

“ The steely Jocasta ….nicely drawn by Sasha Herriman, woman with the amazing voice and spiky shoulder pads.” (Remote Goat)

Live! with Jane at The Pump Room was a collaborative piece of work for the Museum of Somerset with musician and performer Ben Tallamy. The show marked the bi-centenary of Austen’s death with a newly devised music-theatre show.
